A September 19 JST Japanese premiere date has been introduced for Chainsaw Man – The Film: Reze Arc.

Chainsaw Man is primarily based on the Shueisha-published supernatural motion manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, which started serialization in 2018. Viz Media describes it as:

Denji’s a poor younger man who’ll do something for cash, even searching down devils together with his pet satan Pochita. He’s a easy man with easy desires, drowning beneath a mountain of debt. However his unhappy life will get turned the other way up at some point when he’s betrayed by somebody he trusts. Now with the ability of a satan inside him, Denji’s turn into an entire new man—Chainsaw Man!

In the meantime, the synopsis for the film reads:

Denji grew to become “Chainsaw Man”, a boy with a satan’s coronary heart, and is now a part of Particular Division 4’s satan hunters. After a date with Makima, the lady of his desires, Denji takes shelter from the rain. There he meets Reze, a lady who works in a café.

The first a part of the Chainsaw Man manga ran from 2018 to 2021 in Weekly Shonen Soar. The present second half started serialization on the Shonen Soar+ app and web site in July 2022. There are 19 tankoubon volumes as of December 2024.

The anime collection premiered in October 2022 and ran for one cour.
